South Ridge Baptist Church
South Ridge Baptist Church was founded in 1843.
Fun Fact: During the days of the Underground Railroad, South Ridge Baptist was a very important station. The church would hide the runaways in the basement then sneak them onto boats heading across Lake Erie to Canada. The total number of people that were helped escape to freedom is unknown, but it is believed to be at least 200.
